It has been said man is to error thus calculate 10% of the value obtained and add it to the yardage to cover pattern matching, irregularities and errors.

if you are renovating the office room, remove the old carpet. This can be done through starting from one end and pulling it from tack-less strips and roll it slowly. The under-lament can be reused if it is not totally worn out. If the carpet laying is being done for the first time then you will have to work on cleaning the floor only. Make the surface clean, smooth and free of any other items. When you make the surface clean then you are assured that the carpet will not be stained and damaged in near future.

Use the strip cutter to cut the tack-less strips into size of your room. The strip should be nailed allowing 1/2″ space between it and the way. The strip should not be installed across doorway and thresholds because they have sharp tacks on the strips which can penetrate through carpets thus hurting customers’ feet. Basically ensure the tack-less strips are tightly installed against each other in each corner and use the correct sizes otherwise they shall pop out.
*Install carpet pad
The pad is laid perpendicular to direction of installing the carpet. Use staple hammer carefully to staple the pad near the tack-less strip. Stapling need to be done in such a way that, the staples are in alternating direction to ensure they are not beside each other. It is advisable to stretch the padding and make sure pieces are tightly butted together.

You can use a mark pen to draw a line from one notch to the other. Use utility knife to cut along the line and take it back into the office for installation. Any excess carpet size should be trimmed out for final installation.
*Stretching carpet and use of binder bar
Power stretcher should be used to attach it on the strips on the side of the room. At the extreme ends of the room knee kicker and stair tool can be used. The binder bars are nailed at ends of the carpet carefully. link the binder bar hooks to the carpet through stretching it with knee kicker then using wooden block to close binder bar to the piece of carpet.
* Final installation process
This is the essential part of the installation process and determines how the end ‘product’ looks like. The whole process involves use of carpet stretcher to fully fit it over the tack-less strips. Tuck the floor decoration carpet between the wall and carefully on the strips. It is important to trim it on the door paths. The carpet edges should be centred under the closed door.
