Before you deal with the wobbling issue of your ceiling fan, it is strongly recommended that you clean each and every part of your fan thoroughly. This access of dirt and dust, it result as complication in the alignment and you end up having a vibrating or wobbling ceiling fan in your home. So, it is strongly recommended that before doing anything else to deal with wobbling of fan, you clean the ceiling fan completely and you wipe it with a dry cloth. In case you get no positive result with it then you can try other steps to resolve the problem.

Check the screws and bolts:
Lose screw and bolts are the most common cause of wobbling in ceiling fans and you need to check that in your fan as well. If any bolt or screw is lose then it can surely create the complication of wobbling and you will not be able to solve it unless you tight that. In order to do it properly, it is a suggested that you get a stepladder to tighten the screws and bolts. After that you can hold the fan body and you can shake it to check the loose ends in the fan. This shaking will give you a clear idea about the lose parts in your fan and then you can tight those screws and bolt. In this process make sure you not only tight the blades of ceiling fan, but you check that bolt also that is holding the motor of your fan. In addition to this, you also need to check the junction box and other things that are connected with your ceiling fan using any kind of bolts or screws. If you still notice the problem of wobbling in your ceiling fan, then you need to check the balance of your fan. In order to check the balancing of your ceiling fan you can easily get some good quality fan balancing tools in the market and you can use that to balance your fan. Before using that weight or balancing kit, you need to check the exact problem and you can do that in some simple steps. To check the balancing issue, you can simply attach a clothespin in the on one blade of ceiling fan and you can rotate it in reverse direction with maximum speed. You need to try the same process again until you get a balanced ceiling fan. As far as ways of using balancing kit is concerned, I would recommend you to use it as per the document or guide that you get with the kit.

Check the mounting:
Many time above solution do not give you any positive result, in that case mounting of the fan can be a problem. In order to check the mounting of your ceiling fan you hold the fan and you can try to wobble it with your hand. If you see a lot of wobbling then you can consider that as a problem. For removing this wobbling you can fix the fan mounting with new fixtures and packing and you can hope that this problem will get resolved. When you use fixtures to fix the ceiling fan on your mounting box, make sure you use only compatible rubber pickings and other things else you will not get good result with it.

Check the fans blade:
In most of the cases above solution should be able to solve the problem for you, but if you still see wobbling in your ceiling fan, then you may consider the warped blade as the root of the problem. In this situation changing of the blade is the only solution that you can try. In case you don’t want to change the blade then you can take it to some electrician and you can ask him to fix the warped blade for you. If you ask electrician to fix it, then make sure you check it in some other same model fan before using with your fan else you may not get accrete result with it. After that you can try to fix the new or corrected blade in your ceiling fan and it should solve your problem completely.

Sometime none of these solutions may work for you and you find yourself in a helpless situation. In that case, I would recommend you not to try anything else by yourself. Instead of that I would encourage you to contact a good electrician that has experience with ceiling fan and you can leave the work on him. When you will pay the money to an electrician then he will certainly fix the wobbling for you and you will get a peace of mind and comfortable airflow as well.
